Editorial Stylist & Extension Specialist

Richard was born and grew up in Pasadena, California. After high school he moved to Santa Barbara to attend college.  Richard has had a passion for hair since he was 10 years old. He would practice on his sister and her friend’s hair. He was encouraged to go to cosmetology school during high school but he decided to go away to college. After college he decided to get a job in corporate America however his desire to become a stylist was overwhelming so he decided to leave his job and enroll in cosmetology school. He always knew that he wanted to work at Awilda Salon.

Richard enjoys working in the salon however, he loves doing editorial work and photo shoots where he can truly show his creative side. He feels that it allows him to get out of his everyday routine and to utilize his artistic skills. Richard is known for his tight texture hair weaves and his hair cutting technique.

Richard has been in the business for 3 years. He is a young edgy stylist who travels and educates in hair shows,  he has also work in Los Angeles Fashion Week, Rock Fashion, LA, several editorial ads and television commercials.
